Dear {{Preferred Name}},

Leah didn't know about Hope Force before flash flooding hit her neighborhood in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Then, Hope Force Reservists showed up.

Here's what she wrote afterward:

"I live in Wheeling and didn't know about Hope Force before the flash flooding hit. Now I want to cry every time I hear the name! As the saying goes, there is a lot in a name. I can tell you the team that showed up not only lived up to the name, but they are also our heroes and friends! We really would have broke down and felt hopeless without them. We are forever grateful! If you are considering, please serve!" — Leah M.

A $150 participant fee covers your supplies, lodging, and meals for the week. You'll need to complete the Reservist training before going, but we want you there whether you're brand new or a long-time Reservist.

πŸͺš New Skills! Chainsaw Training

After tornadoes, hurricanes, and winter storms, many survivors urgently need broken tree limbs and debris safely removed from their properties.

Last week, a group of Reservists completed hands-on chainsaw training, adding a critical new skill to our disaster response toolkit.

Now, we can confidently serve those who need this work done!

This training was a big step in expanding our Reservists' capabilities to serve, and we believe we can now bring even more help and hope to disasters this year. πŸ’ͺ

Not a Reservist Yet? Here's Your First Step

Leah and her neighbors in West Virginia were helped by everyday people who chose to get trained and show up. You can be one of them.

The first step toward becoming a disaster responder with Hope Force is our free, 1-hour, online course called Hope Force 101.

Through five short modules, you'll gain a clear picture of how Hope Force responds to disasters through practical help, emotional and spiritual care, and how you can personally fit into the mission.

Want to be a fully trained Hope Force Reservist who's ready to deploy? You'll first need to complete Hope Force 101, then you'll need to complete the full Reservist Training.

Step one takes just one hour, and it's a powerful first step! Sign up for Hope Force 101 today to get started. →
