Throughout 2023, Hope Force International teams have come alongside people in countless traumatic scenarios: a string of tornadoes in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee... Hurricane Idalia in Florida...an earthquake rebuild in Nepal...the erection of shelters for survivors of the massive Turkey earthquake...and provision of relief aid for those impacted by the Ukraine war and the Maui fires. In addition, our ongoing relief work in Mexico, Haiti and Appalachia continues.

As we look toward the Christmas season, we pause to think of a God who didn’t stay distant, but came alongside; the word Emmanuel means, “God with us.” He was the first to model what we call “the Ministry of Presence” — a mainstay emphasis for Hope Force.

We are grateful for our Hope Force staff, our Reservists, our volunteers, our donors and our prayer partners. As we celebrate the arrival of our Savior, we want to say “thank you!” and wish you a Merry Christmas as together, we celebrate Jesus — the One who comes alongside.
