Dear {{Preferred Name}},

We hope your April is going well! This month, we're sharing encouragement from a seasoned Reservist, training opportunities, tornado tips, and an amazing story of hope from Ukraine.

Disasters are unpredictable, but we know we can count on you to pray, get involved, and help bring hope around the world. Thank you! πŸ’ͺ

Reservist Spotlight ⭐

Alan Weisenberger

Alan has been a true force for good on the Hope Force Reservist team since 2013.

We have been so blessed by his heart for service as he's deployed 20 times with us! He's been on 15 domestic deployments and 5 international ones, including Romania, Turkey, and Jamaica.

After his many years of disaster relief, this is Alan's advice for anyone preparing for their first deployment:

“Remember your ‘why.’ If you remember that you’re here to serve Christ by loving others, you’ll have the resilience to endure hard work in uncomfortable situations—and connect better with those around you.”

Thank you for all your years of bringing hope to disaster survivors, Alan! We couldn't do what we do without you. πŸ™ If you want to follow along with Alan's deployment adventures, you can find his blog at https://christinmycoffee.wordpress.com/

Trainings with the YMCA

We’re continuing to grow our ability to respond when disaster strikes in partnership with the YMCA.

In April, we hosted two in-person Reservist trainings at YMCAs in Knoxville, TN and Lebanon, OH.

UKRAINE: Hope in a war-torn country πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

When the war began in Ukraine in 2022, millions of lives were disrupted overnight. Homes lost, towns destroyed. It's been an difficult 4 years, but with your help, we're part of bringing hope and stability to families in need.

Through our partnership with Father’s House of Kyiv, led by Pastor Sergey, your generosity has helped provide over 60 homes, support church plants, and strengthen local teams serving their communities.

Vadim and Irina have received one of those homes, along with their 13-year-old son, and their daughter Karina’s family. They all share a deep faith and commitment to serve, even in uncertain times. Though all the adults work hard, they had no place to call their own.

Vadim is a builder by trade and has spent his life building homes for others. But now, someone has built one for him. πŸ’™

When they received this small home, it wasn’t just about walls and a roof. It brought peace, dignity, and the assurance that they are not forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who has given to our Ukraine efforts. You are bringing hope and changing lives!

Hope Force is having a busy spring, but we pray that we can add even more to our plate as we train more Reservists this year!

Thank you for being part of putting hope in action with us.

We'll see you in May,
Hope Force International
